Chippewa Square is located right in the center of Savannah, Georgia, and was made famous by Forrest Gump (1994), one of the most quoted and well-known movies of all time.
Unfortunately, the bench is no longer there, as it has been put in the Savannah History Museum. This made it a little difficult to pinpoint exactly where Forrest Gump once sat; however, by looking at photographs from the movie, and inspecting the buildings in the background, I was able to find it.

Since this movie was filmed over twenty years ago, the location has changed a bit. I believe the filmmakers used this location exactly how it was, so unlike most locations that are featured on Film Across the Country, all changes have been made since filming.
Like previously stated, both the bench and plaque that it sits on are no longer there. Instead it has been replaced with mulch and plants. The cement wall behind them also no longer has any foliage on it. A sidewalk has also been added that leads up to the Statue of General James Oglethorpe, the founder of the Georgia colony.

Surprisingly, I could not find any evidence or recognition of Forrest Gump, only a Chippewa Square sign where the famous bench once sat.
